The Cloud Women’s Dream Society acts as a hub for women from various Indigenous spiritual traditions and backgrounds to come together and offer service and outreach to those in need.
Our Fall 2018 outreach goal is to bring necessary menstruation supplies to homeless and displaced women.
Every year right here in the USA, tens of thousands of women and children find themselves in precarious and/or dangerous situations which force them to take refuge in safe houses, homeless, and women’s shelters, and government-subsidized housing. Due to a lack of government resources, these housing alternatives rarely provide the supplies necessary to assist women with the physiological and emotional effects of coping with their monthly cycle.
To not have access to basic sanitary products, a hot shower, a change of sheets or even laundry detergent, to say nothing of basic medication to help alleviate pain, while living through the physical discomfort and emotional turbulence that often accompanies the feminine cycle is, to say the least, an awfully unpleasant experience that no woman should have to face. If we are all willing to pitch in and contribute financially, in whatever small way we can, the women of Cloud Women's Dream Society have come up with a way to help.
All donations from this fundraiser will go toward the purchase of essential resources such as tampons, sanitary napkins, diva cups (reusable menstruation cups), and hot water packs; and toward the distribution of said resources directly to women most in need of aid located in and around the San Francisco Bay area and Philadelphia.
We also accept donations of unopened diva cups, hot water bottles, tampons all types, pads all types. They can be mailed to:
